Relocation Management — Not a Removalist

Start Your Relocation Assessment

Tell us what is moving, where it is going and the dates you are working to. A relocation coordinator reviews it, asks the questions that usually get missed, and comes back to you with one written, itemised quotation covering every part of the move.

  • No cost and no obligation
  • Itemised written quotation
  • One coordinator for the whole job
  • Australia wide

Request your assessment

Four details is all we need to start. A coordinator will call you to work through the rest — you do not have to have every answer ready.

Prefer to talk it through first? Ring 1300 972 040 (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm AEST) or email bookings@movingsolutions.com.au. Support coordinators and plan managers are welcome to refer on a participant’s behalf.

What happens after you send this

  1. A coordinator rings you, usually the same business dayWe ask what is driving the move, your dates, who else needs to be kept informed, and whether there are access, medical or equipment constraints. Ten minutes here saves a fortnight of back and forth later.
  2. Assessment — on site or by photoWhere we can, a coordinator walks the property. Where we cannot, we ask for photos of every room, the driveway and street access, stairs and lifts, and anything needing special handling.
  3. One itemised written quotationTransport, packing materials, packing and unpacking hours, cleaning, rubbish removal, storage, equipment handling and any trades — each set out line by line, not bundled into a vague total.
  4. You decide, then we take it from thereNothing is booked until you approve the scope. Once you do, we engage and brief every supplier from the same written plan and hold them to the schedule.

What we will ask you about

  • Pick-up and delivery addresses, and the type of property at each end
  • Preferred move date, and how much flexibility there is around it
  • Access at both ends — stairs, lifts, driveway width, loading dock or lift bookings
  • Anything needing special handling: hospital beds, hoists, wheelchairs, pianos, large appliances, fragile or sentimental items
  • Whether packing, unpacking, cleaning, rubbish removal or storage are needed
  • Who else needs to be kept in the loop — family, support coordinator, plan manager, property manager, SIL or SDA provider, employer

Why photos make the quote more accurate

Most quotes change on the day for one reason: the truck and crew were sized on a guess. Photos of each room, the access and the larger items let us size the vehicle, the crew and the hours properly, and they let us flag problems — a narrow stairwell, a lift that needs booking, a fridge that will not clear a doorway — while there is still time to plan around them.

Before you enquire

Does an assessment cost anything?

No. The assessment and the itemised quotation are free, and nothing is booked until you approve the scope in writing.

How quickly will I hear back?

We aim to make contact the same business day for enquiries received before mid-afternoon. If the move is urgent, say so in the comments and ring 1300 972 040 as well so it is flagged straight away.

Can NDIS funding be used towards a relocation?

Whether NDIS funding can contribute depends on the participant’s plan and their individual circumstances. We provide an itemised quotation so the relevant lines can be discussed with a support coordinator or plan manager, rather than a single lump-sum figure that is hard to review.

Can somebody enquire on behalf of someone else?

Yes. Support coordinators, plan managers, family members, allied health staff, SIL and SDA providers and hospital discharge teams regularly start the process for a participant. Tell us in the comments who we should speak with and we will work to their preferences.

Would you rather talk it through?

Ring a coordinator and we will tell you honestly whether relocation management is the right fit for what you are dealing with.
