Funding

About NDIS Funding for Complex Relocations

Whether a complex or urgent relocation can be funded depends on the participant's individual NDIS plan and circumstances. We do not determine funding eligibility on a participant's behalf.

Depends on the plan Confirm with plan manager or NDIA

We recommend confirming eligibility with the participant's plan manager, support coordinator or the NDIA as early as possible.

FAQs

Questions About Complex and Urgent Relocations

What counts as a "complex" relocation?
This includes moves involving multiple stakeholders, specialised equipment, very short timeframes, or challenging personal or housing circumstances.
Can you manage a relocation with a very short timeframe?
Yes. We prioritise urgent enquiries and work to the fastest realistic timeframe for the situation.
Can you coordinate with multiple support people at once?
Yes. We're experienced liaising with family, support coordinators, plan managers and other providers throughout a relocation.
Is a complex or urgent relocation automatically funded by the NDIS?
No. Whether funding applies depends on the participant's individual plan and circumstances. We recommend confirming this with the plan manager, support coordinator or the NDIA.
What areas do you service?
We coordinate complex and urgent NDIS relocations across Australia, including interstate moves.

Complex and urgent

Start an urgent relocation assessment

If the move is urgent or complicated, ring 1300 972 040 and say so — then send the details here so a coordinator has them in front of them. We will tell you what can realistically be done in the timeframe.

  • This tells us which coordinator should call you back.
  • Helpful details: your rough dates, property type and number of bedrooms, stairs or lift access, anything needing special handling, and who else needs to be kept informed (family, support coordinator, plan manager, agent).

What we need to know first

  • The date the move has to happen by, and what is driving it
  • Whether safety, tenancy or accommodation deadlines are involved
  • Equipment or supports that cannot be interrupted
  • Access at both ends, and whether either property is unoccupied
  • Who can make decisions quickly if the plan has to change
  • Whether storage is needed because the destination is not confirmed
Funding — an honest answerWhether NDIS funding can contribute towards relocation costs depends on the participant’s plan and their individual circumstances. We do not tell people their move is funded. We provide an itemised quotation so the relevant lines can be discussed with a support coordinator, plan manager or the NDIA before anything is booked.

Prefer to talk it through first? Ring 1300 972 040 (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm AEST) or email bookings@movingsolutions.com.au.
