Funding

About NDIS Funding for Interstate Moves

Whether an interstate relocation or related supports can be funded depends on the participant's individual NDIS plan and circumstances. We do not determine funding eligibility on a participant's behalf.

Depends on the plan Confirm with plan manager or NDIA

We recommend confirming eligibility with the participant's plan manager, support coordinator or the NDIA before booking an interstate move.

FAQs

Questions About Interstate Relocations

Do you coordinate the whole interstate move, or just one end?
We coordinate the entire move, including removalists, logistics and property preparation at both the departure and destination locations.
Can you arrange storage if my new home isn't ready yet?
Yes. We can arrange interim storage as part of the relocation if there's a gap between moving out and moving in.
Can you help set up utilities in my new state?
Yes. We can coordinate utility connections at the new property ahead of your arrival.
Is an interstate relocation automatically funded by the NDIS?
No. Whether funding applies depends on the participant's individual plan and circumstances. We recommend confirming this with the plan manager, support coordinator or the NDIA.
What areas do you service?
We coordinate NDIS relocations to and from every state and territory in Australia.

Start an interstate relocation assessment

Interstate moves have more moving parts and longer lead times. Send the details early and we will map the schedule at both ends before anything is booked.

  • This tells us which coordinator should call you back.
  • Helpful details: your rough dates, property type and number of bedrooms, stairs or lift access, anything needing special handling, and who else needs to be kept informed (family, support coordinator, plan manager, agent).

What we will ask about an interstate move

  • Origin and destination addresses, and the property type at each end
  • Required arrival window, and whether the destination is available on that date
  • Whether storage is needed between pick-up and delivery
  • Equipment and supports that must be available on arrival
  • Which supports and services are being set up at the destination
  • Who is the contact at each end
Funding — an honest answerWhether NDIS funding can contribute towards relocation costs depends on the participant’s plan and their individual circumstances. We do not tell people their move is funded. We provide an itemised quotation so the relevant lines can be discussed with a support coordinator, plan manager or the NDIA before anything is booked.
