Every relocation we manage follows the same six stages, whether it is a two bedroom unit across town, an NDIS participant moving into SDA, or a staff transfer interstate.
We ask what is driving the move, the dates you are working to, who else needs to be kept informed and whether there are any access, medical or equipment constraints. Ten minutes here saves a fortnight of back and forth later.
Where we can, a coordinator walks the property. Where we cannot, we ask for photos: every room, the driveway and street access, stairs, lifts and any items needing special handling. Photos let us size the truck and crew properly instead of guessing, which is the single biggest cause of quotes changing on the day.
You receive one document setting out each element line by line — transport, packing materials, packing and unpacking hours, cleaning, rubbish removal, storage, equipment handling and any trades. Nothing is bundled into a vague total, so it can be reviewed, questioned or taken to a plan manager.
Once approved, we engage each supplier and send them the same written scope, access notes and arrival window. Everyone works from one plan, which is why crews are not standing in a driveway waiting on a cleaner who was booked for the wrong day.
Your coordinator runs the day and is the one number to ring. If a lift booking falls over, a property is not ready or the weather turns, we re-sequence the day and tell you what changed rather than leaving you to discover it.
We set up the essential rooms first — bed, bathroom, kitchen — so the first night works. Then the old property is cleaned, rubbish removed, storage reconciled and a final walkthrough completed before we close the job off.
