About Moving Solutions Australia

Moving Solutions Australia is a relocation management company. We are based in Brisbane and we coordinate relocations Australia-wide.

We are not a removalist, and the distinction matters. A removalist sells you a truck and a crew for a day. We take responsibility for the whole relocation — writing the scope, preparing the itemised quotation, engaging and briefing every supplier, running move day, and finishing the parts that usually get left behind: the unpacking, the clean, the rubbish, the storage reconciliation and the handover.

Most of the work we do is complex rather than large. An NDIS participant moving into supported accommodation. A family moving a parent into aged care and clearing the family home. An executor dealing with an estate. A business relocating staff between states. These are the jobs where four to six separate suppliers have to be sequenced correctly, where the dates are tied to something that cannot move, and where somebody has to own the plan. That is the job we do.

What we set out to do

Relocating is rarely one job. It is a removalist, a packer, a cleaner, a rubbish run, a storage unit, and often a handyman and an equipment specialist — all of whom quote in different formats, turn up at different times, and answer to nobody in particular. Left unmanaged, the coordination lands on the person least able to carry it: the participant, the family member, the support coordinator or the office manager.

Our purpose is to turn that into one plan, one written quotation and one phone number.

We measure ourselves on three things. Did the quotation hold? Did the dates hold? And did the person at the centre of the move have a working bedroom, bathroom and kitchen on the first night?

What we manage

These are the elements we scope, quote, book and supervise. Clients take all of it or only the parts they need — either way it is one coordinator and one itemised quotation.

How we work

We would rather be judged on what we actually do than on adjectives. These are the commitments a client can hold us to.

  • One coordinator owns the job. The person who writes your scope is the person who runs move day and closes the file. You are not handed between a salesperson, an operations team and an accounts team.
  • Written, itemised quotations. Transport, packing materials, packing and unpacking hours, cleaning, rubbish removal, storage, equipment handling and trades are set out line by line. Nothing is bundled into a vague total, so it can be questioned, reduced or taken to a plan manager.
  • We assess before we quote. On site where we can, by photograph where we cannot. Quotes change on the day for one main reason: the truck and crew were sized on a guess. Photographs of each room, the driveway and the access remove most of that risk.
  • Every supplier works from the same brief. Each one receives the same written scope, access notes and arrival window, which is why crews are not standing in a driveway waiting on a cleaner who was booked for the wrong day.
  • Stakeholders are told, not left to ask. Participants, families, support coordinators, plan managers, property managers and facility staff are kept informed at each stage. If something changes, we say what changed and why.
  • The job is not finished when the truck leaves. Essential rooms are set up first, the old property is cleaned, rubbish is removed and a final walkthrough is completed before we close the job off.

Who We Are

Moving Solutions Australia is the trading name of MOVING SOLUTIONS AUSTRALIA PTY LTD (ABN 14 641 956 078). We are a registered NDIS provider, and our office is at L18, 324 Queen Street, Brisbane QLD 4000. We coordinate relocations Australia-wide.

Our Commitments to You

  • Registered NDIS provider. Moving Solutions Australia is a registered NDIS provider.
  • Australia-wide service. We provide end-to-end relocation management for NDIS participants and disability-service organisations across Australia.
  • A dedicated relocation coordinator. One coordinator plans and manages your move from the first assessment through to move day, and stays the single point of contact for the participant, family, support coordinator, plan manager or provider.
  • Itemised written quotations. You receive a detailed written quotation before any work begins, setting out each service so you can see exactly what is included.
  • Coordinated service partners. Removalists, packers, cleaners, storage providers and equipment specialists are engaged and coordinated by us, and we remain your point of contact throughout.
  • Clear communication. We keep every stakeholder informed at each stage of the relocation, so nobody has to chase separate suppliers for updates.

Feedback, Complaints and Privacy

If something is not right, we want to hear about it. You can raise feedback or make a complaint by calling 1300 972 040 or emailing bookings@movingsolutions.com.au.

If a dispute cannot be resolved directly with us, our Terms and Conditions allow it to be referred to the Australian Furniture Removers Association for dispute resolution.

NDIS participants and their representatives can also raise a concern directly with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission on 1800 035 544 or at ndiscommission.gov.au. Doing so does not affect any complaint you have made to us.

Information about how we collect, use and protect personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Talk to a relocation coordinator

If you are weighing us up, the most useful thing you can do is give us the details of the move and see what comes back. An assessment is not a sales call — it is us working out what the relocation actually involves and telling you honestly what it should cost.

Ring a coordinator on 1300 972 040 (Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm AEST), email bookings@movingsolutions.com.au, or start a relocation assessment using the form below.

You can also read how we document the relocations we manage in our case studies, or browse the Resource Centre.

Send us the details of your move

Fill this in and a relocation coordinator will come back to you. If we need photos or a site walkthrough to quote accurately, we will tell you exactly what we need.

  • This tells us which coordinator should call you back.
  • Helpful details: your rough dates, property type and number of bedrooms, stairs or lift access, anything needing special handling, and who else needs to be kept informed (family, support coordinator, plan manager, agent).

What we will ask you

The more of this you can tell us up front, the closer the quotation will be to the final invoice.

  • Where you are moving from and to, and the dates you are working to
  • Property type, number of bedrooms, stairs, lifts and driveway or street access
  • Anything that needs special handling — pianos, safes, hoists, beds, wheelchairs, fragile or valuable items
  • Which parts you want managed: packing, cleaning, storage, rubbish removal, handyman work
  • Who else needs to be kept informed — family, support coordinator, plan manager, agent or facility
  • Photos of each room, the driveway and the street, if you have them
If this is an NDIS relocationWhether NDIS funding can contribute towards a move depends on the participant’s plan and their individual circumstances. We prepare an itemised quotation so it can be discussed properly with a support coordinator or plan manager.
